Joe Barrett worked in the film industry in Los Angeles in several positions, including Production Design, Camera Operator, and Director. Active and involved in multiple artistic projects, In 2013 he was diagnosed with a debilitating neurologic condition and now is living with MS. In spite of the challenges, Joe worked on his recovery and turned to photography and video.
With a lot of hard work and perseverance he began shooting videos for local musicians and bands. Through his work, he became familiar with the harsh terrain of Wonder Valley, a community in the Morongo Basin of Southern California’s High Desert region, which he loved and was able to flourish. His talent and passion were further displayed in his use of drone photography. He continues on this extraordinary path bringing his personal life’s journey, artistic flair, and passion to his growing number of creative projects.

Ted Meyer is a nationally recognized artist, curator and patient advocate who helps patients, students and medical professionals see the positive in the worst life can offer. Born with Gaucher Disease, Ted’s personal experience with the disease served as his artistic motivation. Today, his 18-year project “Scarred for Life: Mono-prints of Human Scars” chronicles the trauma and courage of people who have lived through accidents and health crises. Ted's paintings have been shown around the world. As the current Artist in Residence at the USC Keck School of Medicine, Ted curates exhibitions of artwork by patients whose subject matter correspond with the medical school’s curriculum and teaches future doctors to see their patients as complex human beings.
